It's what you learn that counts!

Paul Breeze

PhD student, Department of Geography, King's College London.

Paul loves to travel, and has been lucky enough to spend several seasons working in the Arabian Peninsula. During his work as a landscape archaeologist he has experienced some of the best (and worst) of working in the great outdoors and unusual urban spaces, and despite having escaped to the more clement weather of offices, GIS and remote sensing, still enjoys getting out in the field, trowel in hand!

Talk summary:

As part of my research, myself and Nick Drake have been performing fieldwork in Saudi Arabia across several diverse regions. In this talk I'll be discussing some of the incredible landscapes, archaeology and local hospitality that we have encountered, great experiences (and lesser trials) from working in the Kingdom, and what really happens when an archaeologist falls into a snake pit….
