Tamara Gray
BSc Geography graduate, Department of Geography, King's College London.
I am a recent graduate of BSc Geography, who studied abroad at the University of Melbourne whilst at King’s and loves travelling and volunteering. My dissertation research was investigating methods of measuring microplastic found in sediment in the marine environment. I have spent two years independently travelling Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Madagascar and Thailand. I volunteer for the RGS-IBS and partake in Youth Exchange projects.
Talk summary:
This EU Youth Exchange project used photography as a tool and creative method to promote sustainability in the environment. It united 7 nations across Europe to come together to learn and express opinions on environmental issues. The project concluded with a photo exhibition in the Naregatsi Art Exhibition Centre with over 50 photos being displayed to the public. The talk will be filled with photos from the exhibition and the project and plenty of anecdotes including celebrating my birthday and making friends in the city.
