Lily has spent the last years conducting research in the most remote and isolated areas of the Canadian High Arctic, where she studied water quality and water chemistry of streams, permafrost, and soils. She is currently a MSc student in Water: Science and Governance and is a member of the International Water Association.

The talk will involve many pictures and some videos taken in the Canadian Arctic accompanied by comical and not so comical stories and experiences of conducting research in a completely remote and isolated environment. The talk will also involve some information regarding the logistics, potential funding, and research opportunities in Canada for Arctic research.
